In town versus out of town
Inside city limits, most homes connect to public sewer and water and sit on subdivision lots, so jobs are pads, drainage and trenching. Just outside, parcels get larger and rely on wells and septic, with long drives and outbuildings. The city handles permits inside its limits; Clark County handles the rest. We confirm which before quoting.
Near Mount St. Helens
On clear days the volcano is visible to the northeast. Volcanic ash shows up in the upper layers of many local soils, which affects how they hold water and compact.
